Dubai is an absolutely beautiful place. It's scorching hot weather makes me want to peel out of my burning skin but in an enjoyable way. The temperatures got up to 42 degrees and didn't simmer much further down at night times. We stayed in a hotel called Zabeel Saray which is right at the end of the palm.
In order to get to the main part of Dubai you have to drive all the way around the palm, there is no shortcut by taking a boat, you have to take transport by wheels. Luckily the hotel knew of this and offered minibuses every 2 hours to get you to Jumeirah hotel, Wild Wadi and Mall of Emirates. We arrived early enough to get breakfast on the first day and decided to tuck in. Our rooms were amazing, they were so big and spacious, I could live there forever. We spent the first day tanning by the pool and getting dinner before retiring for an early night considering the early flight.
The next day was spent going to the Mall where there is a make up god in the form of Sephora. After trying to buy the whole shop but being dragged by our collars by our dad, we left Sephora feeling euphoric. Next to the pool at the hotel there is a beach and when we got back from the Mall it was around sunset time. We witnessed such a beautiful sunset and felt so at ease as if our worries went down with the sun.
We mixed it up a bit the next day and spent the morning at a waterpark called Wild Wadi. Whenever we went to Dubai in the past we would always go to this waterpark and this time was no different. Nothing had changed and there was a great sense of nostalgia. We went on some familiar rides and went back to the hotel when the sun didn't feel as hot and spent the rest of the day by the pool. The night time was occupied with a walk on Dubai Marina Walk which is a beach opposite the waters from our hotel. It was a pretty short walk filled with restaurants but as we had already eaten there wasn't much for us to do. It was a very humid but relaxing walk on the beach.
Our time in Dubai was at the same time as Ramadan so therefore restaurants and malls were open until around 2-3am. So the next day was spent at the mall at the hours of 8/9ish. This was our last day so we got back to the hotel pretty early and watched Wimbledon whilst devouring a Cheesecake Factory New York classic accompanied with some champagne. Living the life some might say.

Not sure what I was trying to do or who I thought I was. |
This was an amazing trip and it was a lovely opportunity for me to catch up with my family.
Peace out from the NG's.
