I haven't done a songs of the week post in a few weeks so I thought I would join them all together.

My Nu Leng - The grid

City Sound Project came back to Canterbury as Uni Sound Project and I thought I would see what I was missing. Turns out My Nu Leng was performing and without having prior knowledge to their music I thought I'd give it a go. I picked out this song because it reminds me those underground clubs where people are so trendy and hip and it feels so industrial. A song that gets better the louder you turn it up.

Hailee Steinfield - Love myself

Hailee Steinfield is an absolute bae and after seeing her in Pitch Perfect 2 you grow a love for her as she is more than just a pretty face. This is such a good anthem for all yo single pringles out there because you basically scream to the world that you love yourself. The tune is so catchy and makes you feel so good especially about yourself.

Martin Solveig, Sam White +1

I relate house music to being at home considering South Carolina doesn't have that kind of scene. If there are any places that play house music bring forth please because I miss it so much. So listening to this makes me think of being back at home prepping for a night out. The music video is so funky with nice pastel colours. Very aesthetically pleasing.

MNEK - Never forget you

I'm a big lover of MNEK and I was heavily anticipating this song. I like that this song starts like a ballad with piano music, but if you were to play it in a club you would have to mix the beginning. It goes into the chorus which has a bit more energy. MNEK and Zara Larsson kills it.

Ferreck Dawn - Heaven Sent

I don't really have much to say about this song. I stumbled across it when I was on spotify, and I think I must have added it to my playlist without realising. Nevertheless it is a really good song that gets lost amongst the crowd.

Justin Bieber - Sorry

Justin Bieber is back at it with another banger. He's back with such good upbeat songs and a different sound. After collaborating with Jack Ü his music has just gotten more mature but still remains as catchy as his old tunes. I don't really understand this dance music video but it doesn't take away from the song.

LANY - (ILYSB Ferdinand Weber Remix) and Philip George - Alone no More

Another two great songs that remind me of summer and sun and being free and all that good stuff. ILYSB has been remixed by Ferdinand Weber, prior to listening to this song I didn't realise that it was a remix of another song. Nevertheless, the original version is a nice and chilled song. For the remix and Philip George's song I just want to dance and imagine I'm in a music video where the music plays and the dancing is slo-motion. Brilliant.
