On the last weekend of August I went to visit my aunt and uncle which was long awaited. It had been so long since I had seen them. They have always had me in their hearts and treated me with the upmost hospitality, so visiting them will always be a pleasure. It was a relaxing day where we went to a pub for food and in the evening I enjoyed an amazing home cooked meal made by my aunt. It was so nice to feel part of a family inside a home as that feeling has been greatly missed. Speaking of aunts I am one now! I got to meet my niece: Hera. She is a beautiful little girl just turned 4 months. She seems to be a fast learner, and also left side dominant; well, all the best people are ;). We left straight after X factor. It was such a refreshing experience to see my aunt and uncle in their natural habitat as I had never seen that before.

The Sunday was a day of exploration. We went to the Shoreditch markets which was right up my street. Me and Connie had brunch at The Breakfast Club which was a place I wanted to try since I'd heard about it from Beautycrush. As expected there was a queue outside, but luckily it wasn't too long until we took our seats. It's such a cute place and it has good food. I devoured a massive plate of a typical american breakfast, and my god was it beautiful. I completely forgot to take a picture of it as I was too dazed at the beauty.

We spent the rest of the day engulfed in market shopping. One of the markets we went to was Old Spitalfields. The markets were different to what I expected. I am used to going to markets in Hong Kong that sold cheap toys, i phone cases, etc. The main thing was that they were to be sold at a cheap price. The markets in London are different in that the goods are made to a higher quality and not sold too cheaply. Nevertheless I liked the market experience, walking around and looking at different stalls. I bought 2 books, Animal Farm and Filth. I can do reviews on them once I've finished reading if that's what you would like!

In the last hours before closing time, I convince Connie to go into MAC and my god I don't know if it was a mistake or a miracle. Connie came out with a mineral powder in medium (which I also have and love), a lipstick in Mehr and a blusher in Rosy Outlook.

I 'uummed' and 'aahhed' about whether or not I wanted to get the Warm Neutrals palette. I was searching for shades that were a champagne colour that showed on the lids as a creamy pink. Also the finish was a 'wet look'. I saw the shadows and the colours were absolutely beautiful. Despite loving the palette so much I decided to walk away as £65 in my books is quite a lot to spend on anything, being a student without a job.

Wednesday came and I was still thinking about that palette. I probably drove Connie insane by talking about it for so long. I was at an all time low and called my mum. She convinced me that if I love it so much I should just get it. So I did and I absolutely don't regret it! The colours are so beautiful and neutral it's perfect. I will get so much wear out of this palette (convincing factor) paired with the Naked basics palette. Day and night time looks can be created and I can't wait to test it all out!
