Suspicious Minds lands in Nashville

After spending an hour today waiting to get a Social Security Number I felt today would be the day that I could do some self reflection and think about my life. So I start at the first trip of the semester to Nashville. This is one for the books and by books I mean Burn Book because let me tell you, it was an interesting one filled with experiences that I wouldn't call explorative, just one for Instagram pics and not for the photo album.

Despite um-ing and ah-ing we decided we would go out that night and have a kiss goodbye to Five Points for the next few days. I'm not sure where this picture came from but I think it was from that night. You can never be sure these days.

Everyone was waiting in East Quad, not a hangover in sight, it was a sunny day, I couldn't wait to get to Nashville, but that excitement soon wore off in the long car journey there. I'm not quite sure how long it took us to get there but at our little stop at a McDonalds, Holly and I had to think of little games that we could play that lasted the amount of time it took to accelerate to 30 mph so we had to pace ourselves with these thrilling games. We had played most of them before so it wasn't long before we were back to our silence or Flo Rida trying to reach us through static trying to invite us to his house.

When we arrived the first port of call was to find food. Everyone put on their best outfits, we headed for 'Merchants' which had a waiting time of an hour and a half. Therefore we had a little look around the area and it was just so cool. I didn't really have expectations going there not to say that I didn't think it would be very interesting, but I just knew nothing about it. The streets were so busy and lively, it was amazing. People wanted to get drunk during the day and listen to live music at night, it was my kind of place. Add a bit of hip hop and house music and it would be the dream. As soon as the phone rang for food my heart skipped a beat.

So today was a free day to do whatever we wanted to, but in all honest, no one really knew what they wanted to do, so suggestions were 'suggested' and after shit ones like: Jack Daniels Museum, Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum, we thought the one that outshines all those was to visit Vanderbilt. Right. We firstly went to Hatch Show Print which was really cool and interesting. All the prints are really cool and reminded me of when I did print making for IB Art. It was so difficult so looking at all the prints and how accurate they are really made me admire the craft. We looked around Nashville during the day and I almost threw the towel when mum said I couldn't get ice cream.

So here we are Vanderbilt University. What a sight for sore eyes. As we wander through the Greek Village we get invited to a Frat Party. What a great opportunity for us to slip out, they'll never find us. We'll have a ball and experience life as a true American, but no. We carry on and look at a field, and a flag and ended at a beautiful restroom not unlike any I've seen before. What a glorious day for mankind. Honestly amazing.

I thought I would take on my modelling career as I didn't want time to go to waste.

Now we were somewhere we all agreed we wanted to go. The Pantheon. There's not much to say about this but it was really nice to see something that was interesting.

 (When snapchat filters come thru)

And the last few moments we spent there, we went to the mall and Cheesecake Factory.

I feel this trip was one for self evaluation and finding myself.
