Friday 15th - Wednesday 20th was family time.

I don't get to see my family often so this time was crucial for me. I went to visit them on the 15th and we went rollerskating. I wasn't really up for rollerskating as being the lazy child I am, I just like to relax during the day on weekends. Much to my surprise it was so much fun being with my family and having fun.

Okay.

After reading The Fault in our Stars, I was searching for something that had a lot of substance and made me think. This book didn't fail to disappoint as I finished it yesterday, and I am still confused or rather undecided whether I liked the book.

There were some parts where it was really gripping and I really understood what was going on but for the most of it I had no idea what was happening. I hoped for a conclusive ending, but that's not what I got. It actually left me wanting to know more and left me more confused than ever.

Saying that, it makes me understand the surrealism of Murakami's writing, and how dreams are not really linear. The 'trick' to further understanding the riddles hidden in the book is to read it over and over. I feel like delving into the book once was quite a lot to handle, further explaining why it needs to be read more than once. There's so much inside the book that can be discussed, I won't ruin it for anyone so if there are any of you that has some sort of theory as to what this book is about I would love to hear about it, because hearing perspectives is so interesting for me.

I would recommend this book for those that like something completely out of the ordinary and makes you think about your own perspective rather than giving you a straight forward answer. I still question whether I like it due to it being so unordinary. For the moment I am enjoying thinking about all the unanswered questions but not the outcome. I like to be made to think.

I hope to read more of his books in the future like Norwegian Wood or Wind-Up Bird Chronicle as apparently the story connects together more.

The last week was pretty chilled

Friday 25th July

We went on the Camden Pub Crawl and it was the first I've ever been to. The night was great although I may have gotten really sleepy and left early, overall it was a good night












Sunday 27th July

I went to get a haircut with my family, it was a good day out to see my sister, mother and my cousins. It was the magnum 25th anniversary celebration so Regent street was closed in order for people to line up to get free ice creams.







 Wednesday 30th July

We went to Shaka Zulu for sponsored drinks and even though it was a work night (shh..) everyone felt Fabric was such a disappointment that we needed to make up for it tonight. Plus it was Amy's birthday! We went to Bar Rumba after and it was surprisingly good, I had such a great night last night with everyone, it was sad to say goodbye.








Friday 1st August

As July draws to a close all the people I shared my month with (bar Jonny) left England to go back to their normal day to day lives. I hope to see them soon and hopefully next year me and Jonny will visit people in Australia, I cannot wait! On the last day we went to Caravan restaurant at Kings Cross and had our last meal together. They were going one by one until it was left with Penny, Dom and I. We went to Hyde Park to look at the flowers (Dom is a flower boy) and just rest before we went our separate ways.









Evidently I'm so sad that everyone is leaving me whilst I'm in London for another 2 months!
I had such a great experience and hope to see everyone soon! Whilst for the internship company, I wouldn't recommend it. If anyone would like a post on that let me know!

Anyways shopping awaits!

While I sit here watching Orange is the New Black, I reminisce about how much I miss my interns and Paris.

On our way back to the hostel we passed Moulin Rogue and there is this giant fan that we chilled on for a bit because it was hawt!
